Baby Aruuugula

Now I’m no herbivore, but arugula always keeps me coming back for more. The nutty, peppery taste is so much more stimulating than your typical iceberg or romaine. I wasn’t always this way. In fact, I detested salad as a kid. What Chinese tike wants cold veggies when they can have fresh, hot stir-fry?

with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, almonds and black pepper in balsamic vinegar & olive oil

It’s everything I’d want in a salad–refreshing, crunchy, nutty, smoky, herby, tangy…also I may just be a tad obsessed with prosciutto and basil. Maybe I got some Italian in me?

  2. That salad looks amazing. did u make it or did u have it a restaurant? I always like salads with fruit, nuts, and cheese, which seems to take away the whole “raw veggies” side of it… but it’s so much better that way! (also with prosciutto, that looks amazing!)
