Paninis in Aix

say ‘fromage’

I plan my days around food. When I’m on vacation, I do so to the extreme because life is too short to waste on bad food. Every once in a while, an impromptu snack or sandwich will pop up, for better or for worse. This time it came in the form of a panini in Aix.

If you find yourself walking along Cours Mirabeau, admiring the fountains or the sunday marché, follow your inner Italian and stop by the unassuming pizzeria, Pizza Capri on 1 Rue Fabrot. Starting at 2 euros/slice, these huge slices of pizza are a steal and a whole lot tastier than the overpriced tourist traps you’ll find en route (ahem, sushi? no thanks).

The paninis are fresh, crisp and cheesy, a great snack before jetting off for a day trip to the Camargue. Bon appetit!
